The Vineyard
Monte in the Alentejo
Estremoz
Having a vineyard and, consequently, producing a high quality wine with personality was a passion that matured, especially after Pedro’s visit to Burgundy, where he deepened his knowledge of wine.

The specificities of Estremoz, a land with unique characteristics, where the best of the Alentejo comes together in harmony, are reflected in the uniqueness of the JÁ TE DISSE brand.
This is a region with a splendid terroir and a different microclimate to the rest of the Alentejo. Combining the excellent conditions of Estremoz with those of the Monte where the vineyard was planted, with excellent sun exposure and a mixed terrain, the symbiosis needed to make authentic products was found.

An authentic vineyard

Located 7kms from Estremoz, 3,613 vines were planted in just one square of one hectare, under a SE-NO solar orientation, at an average altitude of 300m and with a steep slope of 44º, in an Argilo-Xistoso soil type, divided between the three red grape varieties – Alicante Bouschet, Petit Verdot and Syrah.
Schist (from the Greek σχιστός schistós, ‘split’) is the generic name for various types of metamorphic rock that are easily identifiable because they are strongly laminated. In popular parlance, in Portugal it is also known as “lousa” (and, by extension, soils with a schist base are called “terra lousinha”).
